INSET: Behaviour Management
We are pleased to announce an INSET workshop in Good Classroom Management Practice: Understanding and Supporting Behaviour Management and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties in the mainstream environment.
Date. Wednesday 16th November 2011 from 3.45 for coffee for a 4.00pm start. Finish at 5.30/6.00.
Facilitator. Ian Jones. In 1998 Ian co-founded the Hillingdon Behaviour Support Team, developing Systems and Service Level Agreements across 96 Schools in the Local Authority. He was seconded in 2002 to establish a Learning Mentor and Learning Support Unit for the Hillingdon Excellence Cluster. His team had a huge impact on standards of behaviour, attendance figures and support for vulnerable pupils and families and was acknowledged on both local and National Levels.
In 2009, Ian joined an ethnically diverse Secondary School in a socially deprived area of West London working in the Inclusion Department and with a broader remit to support teachers and pupils across 3 secondary and 7 primary schools.

Intended for. Teachers / Support staff and any other staff members interested in broadening their knowledge of Behaviour Management and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.

Ian will cover;
Managing Behaviour in the School Setting: An overview of Best Practice in regard of managing pupil behaviour in the mainstream setting.
Self Evaluation: Examining a model of Self Evaluation in regard of Classroom Management.
Understanding and Supporting Pupils who exhibit Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.
Sharing good practice between schools: An opportunity to share good practice and experiences of dealing with challenging behaviour.
