Vacancy. P/T ICT Support Technician

Two Dawlish Primary Schools, Westcliff and Gatehouse and are looking to recruit a broad based ICT support Technician to provide a wide range of IT services.

The post is to start week commencing 11th March and will last for the duration of the summer term which finishes on the 24th July 2013. During this period we will be assessing our ICT support needs at these and other DLP Primary Schools on a longer term basis.

8 hours per week at Westcliff Primary School and 9 -12 hours at Gatehouse Primary School. There could be some flexibility between the two schools.

£15,039 – £16,440 Pro Rata. £7.80 – £8.72 ph.

Main duties and responsibilities:

To provide helpdesk ICT problem resolution service as 1st point of call

Investigate and diagnose faults using ICT diagnostic tools, including providing remote assistance

Visit users as required to sort ICT problems

Ensure service is delivered to within performance indicators

To contact external service providers when service fault is determined to be issue, e.g. BT

Maintain and update call monitoring administration

Be involved in the training of new staff to team

Assist with the monitoring of contract performance with regard to strategic aims

This post is for the summer term only as we assess our ICT support needs on a longer term basis.
